Know and obey the rules of your sport. This is NO different that jumping the gun at the beginning of a race. Interference with a competitor (or teammates) change to finish the race to the best of their ability is unsportsmanlike conduct.

I’ve been waiting for some real coverage on this guy. Been following his journey on Towson since Coach Bruno went there from my local university.

I am struck by how, in this case at least, there seems a lack knowledge by the athlete about the process once a swimmer is under suspicion of doping. I had heard about the extensive testing that athletes go through and assumed they not only had information about how the process works when there is a suspicious result, but also support from USA Swimming or other relevant bodies to help them navigate the process. This podcast seems to suggest a swimmer is largely on their own in figuring out how to defend themselves and tell their side of the story.

My former club teammate trained with Brian at Townson and is close friends with him. I've been on multiple cross-country, swimming, track, and triathlon teams and I can say that this guy is one of the most dedicated athletes I've ever met. I asked him to describe Brian and he said that Brian is the hardest worker he's ever seen. Brian is the real deal folks.

USADA, simple question - where is the evidence if you accuse someone of their wrongdoing? I have search left and right in google, I simply cannot pinpoint a single article that contains any proof. This is a serious matter. the 23 Chinese swimmers, and those swimmers who might have a chance for medals, and the public trust of WADA and CHINADA are all on the line. Be responsible for what you started, show us the proof! For all audiences, use your common sense, please! If you don't like being arrested because your neighbor claims you were a thief with no evidence, then pressure USADA to provide proof! I assume many of you here are actually swimmers. take a look at their swim techniques, and their times in past events, and judge it yourself. Do they look like they need to dop? we all want a clean sport. It is respectful to all athletes who put in their hard work. If the Chinese swimmers put in hard work, paid for the world best coaches, had the most advanced technologies to improve their techniques (I heard the Chinese Academy of Sciences involved in consulting their movement *individually* in reducing drag/resistance). I mean, if they put in more, they deserve the win. On the other hand, for those swimmers who didn't get the medals, it is also helpful to know why they lost. not to confuse them with doping accusations with no proof.
